As a musical theater geek in her youth, Sharon Novatnak now sets the stage as the leading lady of Brackish Creek Band. Whether it was playing the sax or oboe while in school, or singing the leading roles in productions such as Lili in Carnival! Sharon has always had music in her heart and in her home. She was a founding member of a traveling performance group called Aurora Productions, which brought vocal delights to venues near her hometown of Hawley, Pennsylvania. Since her move out west to the Park City, Utah area, she has soloed for GottaSing vocal studio and placed second in a Con Brio vocal competition. Sharon now lives the dream as a rockstar but won’t give up her day job as a nurse in a busy ER. Look for her to write some more tunes with her talented gents in the band and pick up a few new instruments to toot, strum or drum. Sharon would like to say thank you to her parents for church choir, drumming on jars at the dinner table, and drum corps.
Doug grew up in Salt Lake City, UT. His parents listened to music from Roger Miller, Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass and the Big Bands. He dabbled with the guitar a bit, then put it away for many years. In the 2000's he picked up his guitar to play with co workers in the "AirMed band". From that point he started to play regularly and began writing songs. He loves to write songs about experiences and tell stories. His musical influences are: Classic Rock, Americana, Folk and Oldies. He lives in Park City, UT with his wife, Sharon.
Stanton Porter lives in Olympus Cove, Utah. He started playing drums at age 14 for the Salt Lake City Letter Carriers Post Office Band. He continued to play drums in the high school band. From there, he played in bands such as Troglodytes, 4 and a Gal and Smoke Aces. He enjoys the decades of 50's, 60's, 70's music. His musical influences are The Beatles, Queen, Metallica, Guns and Roses, Gin Blossoms, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Brett Dennen. Stanton really enjoys playing with Brackish Creek Band.
